Rangers got back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night, defeating Partick Thistle 2-0 away from home.
It was an important victory for Graeme Murty’s men after losing to Hibernian at the weekend and the three points mean they are within striking distance of second-placed Aberdeen with twelve games remaining until the end of the season.
Josh Windass and James Tavernier were the goal heroes on the evening, scoring in each half to ensure the win was comfortable.
Fans were of course pleased with the result but did have some concerns with the performance, most notably with the failure to utilise Jason Cummings effectively in the final third.
The former Hibs man was involved in Windass’ excellent opener but had a frustrating night overall before being substituted off for Alfredo Morelos.
Supporters aren’t blaming him though, more the service that should be provided to him.
They feel he that there’s more to come from the player if he is supported better either in a different formation or simply with a higher standard of performance from his teammates.
