It just turned out to be a miserable outing in the end for Tanguy Ndombele.
The former Lyon man was handed the chance to start in the Premier League by Jose Mourinho, but his night only lasted 45 minutes before he was hooked.
And when looking at his performance, it’s clear why the Tottenham boss decided to take swift action. As per Sofascore, he made no tackles or interceptions whatsoever, had no shots at all, and provided no key passes either.

Some Spurs fans appeared to suggest that enough is enough, and that they should potentially get rid of him this summer if he doesn’t improve.
One fan of the north London side meanwhile appeared to mockingly thank former boss Mauricio Pochettino for his part in bringing Ndombele to the club.
After getting called out by Mourinho, the ball really is in Ndombele’s court now.
It’s up to him to prove to his manager that he is up to the task, and that he can finally kick on after arriving from Lyon last summer.
