2025 NCAA Tournament action resumes on Friday with a quartet of college basketball action.
Second-seed Michigan State and six-seed Ole Miss kick things off at 7:09 followed by an SEC showdown between No. 3 Kentucky and No. 2 Tennesse. The nightcaps feature the top seeds, Auburn and Houston, facing off against Big Ten powers Michigan and Purdue, respectively, as big favorites.
Here’s three best bets for today's Sweet 16 slate!

Kentucky vs Tennessee Prediction and Pick
We saw another SEC team, Alabama, put up 113 points in its Sweet 16 game, but these two teams, while in the same conference, play a much different game.
Tennesse plays at a slow tempo and is an elite defensively. The Vols aren't an elite shooting team, however, ranking 143rd in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage and 86th in effective FG percentage.
Kentucky is much better offensively, making 37.4% of their three-point shots (24th in the nation) and ranking fourth in total points per game (85.0). However, when these teams met in mid-February, Tennessee held Kentucky to 75 points in an 11-point loss where the total points were 139.
Playing in a football field stadium where sightlines are tough and with so much pressure, this could be a slog fest. Read our full betting preview for more on why the UNDER is intriguing.
Michigan vs Auburn Prediction and Pick
Auburn struggled down the stretch, losing two straight games in the regular season and getting bounced by Tennessee in the SEC Tournament. It needed a comeback win against Creighton to advance to the Sweet 16 and seems to have lost the edge that led it to getting the top overall seed in this tournament.
Michigan had a rough finish to the regular season, losing three straight, but then won the Big Ten Tournament. It avoided a near upset by UC San Diego in the first round before a strong second half against Texas A&M landed them in the Sweet 16.
Auburn's defense was the key to its hot regular season, but things have been lacking recently. Their once-potent offense has also had some struggles. With all the pressure on it as the top seed, I like Michigan to keep this close and have a chance to win in the closing minutes.

Ole Miss vs Michigan State Prediction and Pick
There haven't been many upsets in this tournament, and the first four games of the Sweet 16 went the way of chalk as well. Eventually that will change, and I think that starts with the first game today.
The Rebels shot 34.8% in the regular season, but in the NCAA Tournament they're shooting 48.7% from deep. That's the key to them pulling the upset and as long as they stay hot from deep I can see it happening.
Michigan State isn't built for a shootout, ranking 323 (!!) in the nation in 3-point percentage (31.0%). they needed big second-half performance to secure wins in the first two rounds of the tournament so far. If Ole Miss gets out to an early lead, however, I see the Spartans pressing.
The SEC was stronger than the Big Ten this year and Ole Miss should be prepared for the physical disadvantage it faces against a big Spartans front court. The Rebels have to light it up from deep to win this one and I think the hot hand continues in the upset.
