Hemp made the trip to Windsor earlier in the month to collect her MBE after being included in the New Years Honours list. The Lionesses forward was one of three England stars to be recognised – as well as Mary Earps and Millie Bright – and she had the opportunity to have a nerve-wracking conversation with the Prince of Wales.

Hemp shed light on what she spoke about with Prince William, saying: "We weren’t talking tactics or anything! He was just asking about the season for both club and country, asked when my next camp was, asked about how many goals I’d scored this season which I couldn’t remember off the top of my head, especially as I was trying to remember to curtsy after I’d finished speaking to him. He was lovely and it was a nice short but sweet chat."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Hemp has had a stellar year for Manchester City and England. She was part of Sarina Wiegman's squad that made the World Cup final in Australia in 2023 and she bagged 11 goals in the Women's Super League in a run that saw her side take Chelsea to the final day in the title race. To be awarded an MBE at 23 signifies her achievements as a player and she is now hoping to inspire the next generation.
Manchester CityWHAT NEXT FOR HEMP?

After impressing again in 2023-24, she will now spend some time with the national team as they take on France, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden in three Euro 2025 qualifiers between now and July.
